The APC 2018 MANILA was held in the prestigious Winford Resort Hotel and Casino Grand Ballroom. The venue was the best we have staged this event to date.
The APC SUPER SINGLES was held on Thursday 23 August with the top 16 players from APC 2017 all chasing the Championship. The standard of the competition was very high and the last two players to go through to the grand final were Mr. Consistent, Freddie Soh from Shanghai a former Singles Champion and a newcomer Lee Oakes from Jakarta. It was a master class performance from Lee Oakes and gave Freddie very few opportunities at the table.
Congratulations Lee Oakes – APC 2018 SUPER SINGLES CHAMPION.
The APC TEAM EVENT started on the Friday with some expectation that Manila having a home town advantage would be the team to watch. It was however not to be and the Jakarta All Stars who were the defending champions that powered their way with a commanding 14 frames lead at the end of the first day. It was a classic case of “catch us if you can”. On the second day the team from Jakarta continued their winning way and won both conferences and finished 17 frames ahead of the runners up – Singapore Stingers who finished with their highest ranking since they joined the Asia Pool Challenge.
Congratulations Jakarta All Stars – APC MANILA 2018 CHAMPIONS.
