2014 – Manila, Philippines


The Asia Expat Pool Challenge was decided in the last round of matches of the event. With four teams in contention it was a thrilling finish with the positions for second through to fourth being decided in the last two frames.

Bangkok secured first place earlier in the last round but with Manila, Singapore and Jakarta all needing to win their last two frames to take out second position it was a battle right to the finish. In the end it was a tied score of 95 frames for both Manila and Singapore however Manila won on a count back to secure second position and Singapore taking out third position. Jakarta finished fourth on 93 points after a slow start but finish strongly to challenge the leaders.

All seven cities showcased some very talented players and the standard of competition was the highest in the history of the competition. Bangkok’s experience was a deciding factor playing well under pressure.
