Phnom Penh Parrots

Phnom Penh Parrots first entered APC in 2014 in Manila and found the competition tough going in their first year. They then returned to the table to do battle in 2015 in Jakarta and did show improvement and moved up the ladder. In 2016, Phnom Penh Parrots participated in APC 2016 SAIGON and finished in 7th place.

Then in 2017 they went to APC BANGKOK and finished in the same position again. The Parrots have some good players but need more depth to improve their competitiveness.

At APC 2018 the Phnom Penh Parrots brought a more competitive team to Manila. They increased their winning frames from 64 in 2017 to 77 in 2018 and finished in 6th position only 3 frames behind position 5. Well done Parrots! Big improvers in 2018

In 2019 Phnom Penh Parrots came to Jakarta and finished in 7th position in what was a tough competition.

The event was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to Covid 19 restrictions. Phnom Penh Parrots came to Bangkok for the 10th Anniversary of Asia Pool Challenge. Whist the team again finished in 7th position again, one highlight was the performance of Visal Peou who was the runner up in the APC Super Singles.

There was an air of optimism at APC 2023 Phnom Penh that the home team Phnom Penh Parrots would improve on their previous performance in APC 2022 Bangkok, but it was not to be. The team finished 7th the same as the previous APC.
